For relatively low ceiling clearance and narrow stairs (eg some townhomes or apartments) it may be difficult to get a box spring up steps -cutting the wooden frame and bending the spring wire frame allows it to be folded on itself and enables carrying it up the steps. The spring/wire frame can be then be straightened out (using a wall corner for example or simple “unfolding”) and the wooded part fastened together in some way. An additional cross board is added to ensure adequate support of each half.

I purchased an adjustable bed (without the mattress, remote or manual) at a closeout sale recently. I ordered the remote from Leggett & Platt (Makers of the bed) but I cannot find a place to plug in the remote. How can I find this information online or view a user’s manual online? I’ve searched but cannot find anything. The bed is a Tempurpedic S cape model number 81908 made in 04/06. Thanks.

I am totally redoing my room from the walls to the rug, new curtains, new bed and mattress, new bedding, everything.

I don’t know when I will have a chance to check out Kohls in person. Am I right that it seems like I can’t order the actual comforter? It does say "comforter set" which is a good sign, but the picture is not like the main one. Hopefully that’s just the picture though, but I would want to confirm that before putting out the money…

Suggestion about where else to look for bedding? I’ve checked out Macy’s, JCPenneys, Sears, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Linens & Things.

I have seen people on Craigslist.com selling used mattresses (obviously worn and used). Isn’t this illegal in CA? I know there are regulations for retail mattress resellers, but what about private sales?
