Entry from: Rosario, Argentina Entry Title: "Rosario — Sleeping Around the Town" Entry: "We had booked the bus trip from Parana to Rosario with one of the well-known companies and on arrival at the bus station were keeping an eye out for this bus. Nothing showed up, but there was another company's bus going to Rosario. Just before it was about to leave, we enquired whether this was our bus. Of course it was and why weren't we on board already? The system works, but how is a mystery. On arrival we got a taxi to our booked accommodation at Pousada Ignacio and were shown to a very nice room which had a patio as big as the room itself. One strange feature was that the bedside lamps (a rarity) and the TV had plugs that didn't fit the wall sockets! Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina and being on the River Para is a large export centre, but it is noteworthy for two reasons. Firstly, it is the place where General Belgrano raised the Argentinean flag for the first time on his way to Jujuy to fight the Spaniards and secondly, it is the birthplace of Che Guevara, the "idolised revolutionary". The first event has led to the building of the imposing Monumento a la Bandera which includes a 70m tower with excellent views of the city and as such the photographer was despatched upwards to earn her keep and <b>…</b>
