Can a California King bed fit in a small apartment room?

I am getting an apartment that has 2 BR with 13.5′ (W) x 10′ (L) dimension each. I have a California king mattress and wonder if it fits comfortably and give me and my wife enough room to walk around. Thanks.

You may be able to get the bed into the room, but walking is going to be another story.

I think it will fit, and you’ll still have room to walk, but you might feel cramped. Try a queen–they’re still roomy but give you more free room.

You won’t be happy bumping your knees as you try to get around your bed…

I live in a small 4 bedroom house, all the bedrooms are 10′ x 10′. A king size bed will not fit in our rooms. You might be able to squeeze it in, but it will be tight.

No not exactly. I used to work at a moving company for a few years, and dealt with a lotta beds. Ur bedroom is gong to be a bed and a dresser. not only that, but if ur moving to an apartment depending on which floor ur on it can be a hassle. it will fit (after some folding of course) but ur space will be limited in that room

no,think you should get like a queen bed.

Our 2 bedroom apartment will only allow a full size mattress, maybe a queen size, but we have plenty of room with a full size and both bedrooms are 12X10

yes it will, space may be limited depending on how large the room. i have a 1 BR and had a cal king in it. i had no dressers in my room for clothes. i bought the plastic storage drawers and put in the closet that gave me more space. had a small entertainment center in room and a rocking chair, worked fine.
now i have a double bed, still have no dressers, like the closet storage for clothes and under-bed storage. have a computer desk , rocking chair and TV entertainment center works great for me.

It will be a squeeze. A California King mattress is generally 72" X84", this gives you about three feet around the bed on all sides if you don’t have a head board.

That’s going to be very tight quarters for a California King. If you have a dresser or other piece of furniture at the foot of the bed you’ll have two feet (or less) walking space.

You should measure the bed in accordance to the room. You will then be able to tell how much room will be left around the bed, if any.
