If it’s nice, and not pee-peed on, then go for it!

i would try it before you buy it! it probably isnt that comfortable and had been used a lot, so try it before you buy it!

At that price its probably piss-stained.

  6. sirblackie on September 2nd, 2010

great price, but you get what you pay for, remember that. Check it out first, and definitely "smell" it.

that is a really good price… I spent 500 dollars on my mattress…

  9. Brandon R on September 2nd, 2010

yep preatty good price because most queen matresses are like 300 to even 1000 dollars get that matress once and a life time oppritunity.

no I would not buy it… just because it looks good doesn’t mean it is good. Take it from me, I bought a cheap mattress off of craigslit and am now suffering back aches and pinched nerves because my mattress is so bad. I am guessing the mattress they are trying to sell is horrible and they just want to get rid of it asap. A frame alone is more than 50 bucks.

If it is clean and in good shape oh yes!!! That is a great bargain for sure-matresses alone are a few hundred on the low end.

Don’t buy a used mattress – you don’t know what you are getting. There was once a story that ran on one of those news shows about mattresses being taken out of dumpsters and recovered with new fabric and sold as new. Nasty and potentially harmful.

absolutely….I was trying to purchase a full mattress and it was going to cost me 200 so you are getting a GREAT deal. I would check to make sure it doesn’t have stains and that it sits level to make sure the springs aren’t broken.

I paid that much for mine and it’s used, so yea! hahaha

But be cautious, because although it seems impossible there are actually different ‘grades’ of mattresses.
( Ex. If your mattress is foam – don’t get it!)

I can say DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS! My husband actually works for a mattress company as a manager, and can tell horror stories about used mattresses. He has received mattresses as returns that were used, and because of state law cannot sell them. he has seen some very disgusting things on them. He then of course, put them in the dumpster. There are people who do take them out and recover then resell. The worst thing you have to worry about is bed bugs. This is a real problem, and if they get into your home in a bed or sofa, ect, they will completely take over your home. There was a store that had to destroy all their stock because of that. $50 is cheap though…..you have to think of WHY they are only selling it for that much!

just remember you get what you pay for. A mattress is about a ten year investment. and a place where you are going to spend about 8 hrs a night, and sleep is essential to your everything else, so I don’t think i’d spend $50 on a mattress, i spend about $800 for mine, but its REALLY nice, i fell in love with this mattress at this Hilton i was at, and wanted one just like it, but the mattress lines were hotel line mattresses and not avail for the public,

but the mattress store I went to the guy found an almost similar match, and after trying about 5 of them at the store, i liked one there very much and got it.

$50 is a bargain in response to what you asked, but i’d really think twice before spending $50 on a mattress from a guy in the paper. My suggestion is go to at least 2-3 mattress stores and shop around and actually sit on the bed, and stretch out and see it in person. If you have a problem with this $50 mattress in a few weeks im sure there are no returns.

At least from a store you will have a valid warranty. and prob free delivery and setup.

Yeah , that’s a good price as long as it doesn’t have any crabs living on it .
